'ColorCounter'
This code allowed us to randomise the colour of an object. We did this by creating the code and added it to a cube. We then watched it in game mode and after a few clicks the colour began to change. This would come in handy for if we want our ship or another object to change colour in game.
'PlayerController'
The second code we learnt to use was an important code for our project. This code allowed us to move up, right, left and down (Horizontal/Vertical). The speed could also be changed to what we desired, depending on how fast or slow we wanted the ship to move.
I then added a mainlight, which lightened one side more than the other, making the spaceship look more like its in space.
A directional light was added on one side to give it a more sci-fi, space look.
The background was then added by importing an asset which will be used as the space background. This was dragged onto the background and re-sized to fit the resolution.
The camera had to be positioned above the background so that when the game was played, you would see the game from the top view, to give the game a space game look.
The coding was then dragged onto the ship and when it was put in game mode it played as such:
I was happy with the progress made and I feel I'm getting used to the program, finding its functions much easier to use compared to when I first started using the program.
