Whilst being taught by Leah Gordon, we were given the task to make a short 1 minute video consisting of multiple advertisements that portray a message or contradict what they originally intended to say.
I decided to mash-up a healthy eating advertisement with several fast-food advertisements, to portray the message that television somewhat contradicts itself, in the sense that weight loss and healthy eating advertisements are aired at the same time that fast-food retailer advertisements such as McDonald's and Burger King. I found it interesting whilst choosing the advertisements, that both the unhealthy food advertisements and the healthy eating advert see their foods as something that's 'good', whether it be taste wise or health-wise.
